Call of Duty 5 details: now called World at War |
|

It looks like the leaked details that were reported last month have been apparently validated in a UK-based games magazine, plus news on multiplayer.
For starters the game won't be known as Call of Duty 5, it will instead bear the grand title of Call of Duty: World at War and will be set primarily in the Pacific during World War II, although you will also be able to play as the Russians as they invade Germany.
As reported previously Call of Duty: World at War will be released on every platform except the PSP and will be developed by Call of Duty 3 creators Treyarch with specific teams working on different versions.
The game will be built on the Call of Duty 4 engine but various enhancements will be added, for example burning down buildings and foliage.
As for multiplayer for the first time in the Call of Duty series there will be a co-op mode for up to four players. Vehicles will also feature as well as squad-based elements. Multiplayer perks will also return including some of those from Call of Duty 4, but will be more suited to the time period.
Treyarch have stated that Call of Duty: World at War will be the 'darkest one yet' having had two years dedicated to it's development in comparison to Call of Duty 3 in which they only had eleven months.

CoD4: Patch 1.6 is near |

CoD4 map pack and 1.6 patch coming to an FTP server near you.
On the 5th June, Call of Duty 4 will see its 6th patch, taking it to version 1.6, as well as 4 new maps.
The long awaited patch is finally on its way, that is due to fix a few server problems as well as some other bugs and fixes. But the main thing this patch will bring is 4 new much needed maps. These maps have already been released for the Xbox 360 version of the game, and require points to purchase them over Xbox Live.
Activision will be giving them away for free in the upcoming patch. This is thanks to Nvidia who will be sponsoring this. They will also include some promotions for PC users prior to the release of this patch.
The four maps that we can expect to see in 5 days time are Broadcast, Chinatown, Killhouse, and Creek. Screenshots of them all are seen below.

CoD4: Cheater |

Para quem vinha de um jogo como o GRAW onde a palavra cheater apenas aparecia na boca de alguns n00bs que tinham acabado de começar a jogar, é um pouco estranho em menos de 2 meses de servidor termos já 4 clientes com uma inteligência muito abaixo da média.
Infelizmente nem todos eles constam nas listas MBL e MBI.
